Our History

Adventure Boot Camp was founded by Dr. John Spencer Ellis.  He has been an innovator in the fitness industry for more than half his life. He began his life of fitness at age 12, and has continually educated himself in the areas of fitness, sports conditioning, medical advancements, education and business. John is a personal trainer, fitness consultant, trainer of personal trainers, media advisor, medical exercise specialist, mentor, life coach, and peak performance consultant.

Since the late 1990s, John has operated an Adventure Boot Camp in Orange County, CA and is the president of the National Exercise Sports Trainers Association.  After years of research, thousands of hours of instruction, experimenting with various teaching methods, camp formats, and nutrition programs, the Adventure Boot Camp method emerged. This is the method you will benefit from.

After much research, Kelli Calabrese found the Adventure Boot Camp program to be the largest and the leader among boot camps.  Kelli spent 3 days in Southern California learning the success formula from Dr John and his qualified team of instructors. The boot camp training together with her 21 years as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer and lifestyle and weight management consultant are guaranteed to provide you with the formula to successfully attain a healthy, fit and astounding body.

Kelli has now become the National Master Trainer for the Adventure Boot Camp program and is responsible for training new Boot Camp Coaches who upon completing the training will be opening camps all over the world.
